For those of you that don’t know what @media2006 is, here is what the site says…

@media, Europe’s foremost professional web design conference, brings together some of the world’s most highly respected web experts to talk about the latest major happenings, best-practice thinking, and cutting-edge techniques in the world of web design.

I attended last year and have been looking forward to attending this year ever since, it is a prime opportunity to not only learn from the best in the industry but also let your hair down and do some networking… I was concerned that I was not going to raise the cash to go but things have come up trumps and I will now be going.

I just noticed this pic on the site from last year, it is me & Charlie in the lobby…

On another note, this is the last post I will be making until further notice, one of the things that has been causing me problems with my CSS Reboot is that I am now dealing with a content fork. I want to break down the info I am posting and add some new things too but I cannot figure out how to do it whilst I am still posting on the live site.

I guess this is an unfortunate by-product of redesigning a content managed site and I will be sad to not say hello for the next week or so but this is a necessary evil and will hopefully be worth the wait.

Will speak to you soon on my shiney new site!

It is my massive pleasure to announce that I am going to be doing some work with an artist called JZY in the very near future for my reboot project and as an ongoing thing. It looks like there are going to be some fun and games with an online comic and various other things so I thought I would give you a heads up… Part of the cool thing about my domain is the “and co” bit as it opens up the floor for some collaboration (which I am hoping to do a lot more of) and on that front, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you… JZY…

JYZ at work on a piece...

Looking forward to this!

I have been thinking about this for a while now and have had many half baked rebuilds (mostly R&D for different build techniques) in the pipeline with regards to this site. I have spent a lot of time messing about with Wordpress to see what it can do and I have really enjoyed myself but now I have decided to test my metal and enter the CSS Reboot on May1st. Want to know a little more? Here is the blurb off of the site…

The CSS Reboot is a community event for web professionals. May 1st, 2006 at 6:00 GMT Rebooters from all over the world will launch their web standards-based redesigns simultaneously, bringing traffic, interest and a little respect to their sites. There are no prizes or arbitrary winners, just great exposure and the knowledge that we all participated in something great.

Just so you know I ain’t shitting you, you can check my profile, I believe I am number 652 to sign up so here’s hoping I can make my mark.

Wish me luck!

Just a quick site update to let you know that I have added a new tool to the site. STICKAM launched today and I went over to get an account, I would have to say that I am very impressed and if I could just figure out why my phone is so shit then I have some pretty cool ideas for how I want to use it.

To keep you occupied in the meantime, I have added a welcome message from me and a mix by my friend and Jungle Nation collegue DJ Davy. Keep your eyes peeled as I am going to try and get video working from my phone and I will plug my webcam in when I am at my Computer at night so that you know I am about. Awesome!

I like new toys… Have a play with it… go on… you know you want to…

What an interesting turn of affairs, my big modification is still on but I have run into something that could change the future of how I blog even though I am just new to the game.

I started out with Wordpress a few months back and to tell the truth I have been perfectly happy with it but I have run into a bit of a dilema. Over the past week or so I have been intermitantly looking at what blogging tools/software are out there and the pro’s and cons of each and have ended up having a play about with Movable Type. I certainly want to play a little bit more….

Okay, so it is easy to install Wordpress and start blogging but I want a challenge and have decided to completely modify my installation of it and actually try and build a design from scratch.

I have just upgraded to Wordpress 1.5.2 so please be patient whilst I try and convert my skins for the blog into themes…

Thanks… surely it cant be that hard ;)

Since getting wordpress on the go I started with a nice family based theme given that the name of this site is Az Caz & Co and that I intended to include stuff about family here as well as my day to day antics online. Well things have taken a change for the darker and I decided to make a scarier theme to mix things up a bit.

I decided to keep the existing format because I have enough on my plate trying to get to grips with all the Wordpress functionality, what I did was just take all of the exsiting elements and attach imagery and change the colour scheme through the joys of CSS.

The theme is by no means finished but it was a good start and I managed to get it done in a relatively small amount of time so I am happy enough. I am going to have a little play with the backend tonight because there some things amiss like posts if you click on them.

Anyway, just a little update for you to chew on whilst I keep busy…. if you want to check it out you can view the scary theme by clicking here.

What a grand start to the renovation…. manage to delete first post in a fit of tiredness! No so bad though seeing as all I wirite it tots and noone will be reading lol…

Anyway…. I have dishes to do so I willl get back to this once they are done otherwise I am deadmeat… there is a publish time on this ;)

This is a test

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur,
