A lick of paint around the joint…

Just a quick post to explain the drastic change of appearance, I have decided to whip things into shape and live dev this site into a new format using Dereks beautiful Grid Focus as a starting point.
You’ll have to excuse the non styled basics and redundant linkage for about 8 hrs till I am done with work etc then I am going to give it a quick lick of paint and see where it takes me.
Hat tip to Gnorb for pointing me in the direction of a nice starting point.
Am looking forward to this

Oh no, what happened to the big monkey and black background? I loved that – it was “yours”. This just looks like every other WordPress installation – boring white background with your content crammed into three columns.

dont worry… this is an intermediary step… I fully intend on doing some stuff with this real soon, consider it me throwing myself out my confort zone and kicking myself in the face so I actually do something!

1) Glad I could help. As I said (and I haven’t checked Clique44 to see if you replied to this), if you want to see what I did with my code, just shoot me an email and I’ll send you what I’ve done. The great thing about Derek’s theme is that it’s SO easy to work with.

I like the theme, it seems to be a very useful baseline to add your custom design. As for the live design-in-progress…it’s a brave and honest move but it’s probably going to give you the push to get something completed sooner.

@Gnorb: don’t worry man, the money will definitely be returning to watch over my blogging activities. As Andrew has said it is a nice baseline for hanging my own design onto so am looking forward to it.
@Andrew: Long time no speak buddy, glad to know I am still in your feed! You hit the nail on the head for my reasons for doing this, I have been a little lazy on the old blog front and it is about time I gave my monkey some luvvin’

Ok Alan this is the script either bring back the monkey or sleep on the sofa!!!! This is hurting my eyes and I’m not to keen on showing the girls at work ur new articles now…. Its just not the same.
