OSX / Windows switching using Parallels

This is way cool, my mate Rodti has been going on about Parallels heaps and he was good enough to create a wee video to illustrate it.

I have been looking into how I can possibly run Windows within Ubuntu and the general consensus is that I should use VMWare but I have to say, this is rather sexy and deserves some further research!

What do you think of it?

I’ve been running Ubuntu for a few months now, and since installed at work too — just to be safe I installed XP within VMWare just as you said. It works the same way as Parallels and I haven’t had any trouble — but then again I haven’t *had* to use it either. It’s just there for the rare case an extremely Adobe-fied PSD comes through the door that I need to work with.

I managed to get Windows installed under Parallels with absolutely no problems at all. I’ve decided I actually don’t have that much time for configuring samba file sharing and networking from the virtual machine.

I can’t honestly see me spending that much time on getting Windows to run anyway… I like my new operating system ;-)

Have your say...
