On March 13th, 2006, the Web Standards Project (WaSP) launched its new site and I have to say that they have taken some flak for what is generally a nice design. Even I made a comment regarding the choice of dark yellow writing on a yellow background but that was my opinion and I’ll stand by it.

Okay, maybe I am a just off the pulse on this one but it is worthy news so I will fill you in. Apparently this kid found an article on how to fool Google News. In a bid to wind up his mates he launched a fake press release via I-Newswire.com so that it would get syndicated, stating that he was the youngest Google employee but the prank backfired. The news item got Digged and all hell broke loose as everyone picked up on the story.
(I-Newswire) - 15 year old student, Tom Vendetta has been hired by search engine giant Google Inc. The student will receive a lowered salary, which will be placed into a bank account for future education, said Google CEO Larry Page. When asked what role Vendetta will play at the Tech Giant’s offices, Page said he wouldnt have a role at the Main Offices. Instead he would work from his home in the New Jersey suburbs. Vendetta will be incharge of working with recent security flaw’s in Google’s beta e-mail service, “Gmail”. Google said they first found out about him when they discovered the student’s blog, at http://tomvendetta.be. The media giant said they looked forward to working with Vendetta’s expertise in JavaScript and AJAX.
Tom has since made an apology which is very commendable but ultimately I find this rather amusing. I sincerly wish this dude all the best for his future which I am very sure will work out very well for him.

I have been thinking about this for a while now and have had many half baked rebuilds (mostly R&D for different build techniques) in the pipeline with regards to this site. I have spent a lot of time messing about with Wordpress to see what it can do and I have really enjoyed myself but now I have decided to test my metal and enter the CSS Reboot on May1st. Want to know a little more? Here is the blurb off of the site…
The CSS Reboot is a community event for web professionals. May 1st, 2006 at 6:00 GMT Rebooters from all over the world will launch their web standards-based redesigns simultaneously, bringing traffic, interest and a little respect to their sites. There are no prizes or arbitrary winners, just great exposure and the knowledge that we all participated in something great.
Just so you know I ain’t shitting you, you can check my profile, I believe I am number 652 to sign up so here’s hoping I can make my mark.
Wish me luck!

LOL…
Found this pretty funny so thought I would share…
I finally got my broadband connected so am making good use of it as you can see! I went and bought myself a Netgear DG384G Modem Router yesterday and got a nice free USB 2.0 wireless dongle which gave me the wireless juice I needed to get the house all hooked up.
All I need now is an XBOX live account and a wireless ethernet bridge and I will be laughing. Another bonus is that they are upgrading my exchange in the very near future so I will be getting upgraded from a 2meg line to an 8meg for the meager cost of £15 for the upgrade… Bitchin

What a pain in the ass, I just came into web cafe to grab some details for getting my broadband set up at home because I forgot to print them off at work.
15p a sheet for print outs and because my head is up my arse with Flu and I was not thinking straight, I forgot the length of bloody Gmails, especially with big disclaimers and all sorts of other bullshit from the ISP.
Oh well, I guess I will avoid using a computer whilst I am not thinking straight, I may end up loosing the house I just bought or something…
AAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHH My head hurts… I’m off to catch my train and feel sorry for myself…

Well after all that my worries were unfounded (although not completely unjustified) and I received my webcam today and I would just like to say thanks for getting it to me in the end. The cam itself is pretty good and branded with the stickam logo etc, I can’t wait to use it and get up to some mischief, I have already had some cool ideas of how to use it so will keep you posted.
Anyway, I am only on my lunch break just now so can’t post anymore details but you will be able to catch me on the site tomorrow at home when I get my broadband hooked up (fingers crossed it gets activated).
Catch you later…

Black spiderman suit… at least it is bettter than the Iron Spidey costume!!
Here is what it says on the official spiderman movie site.
You may think you’re looking at a black and white photo. Look closely, Spider-Man wears a black suit in Spider-Man 3. Tobey Maguire returns as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in Spider-Man 3. In Theaters 5/4/07
Looks like we have a while to wait before we see the black spidey in action…

Two prawns, Justin and Christian, are swimming around in the sea. They are constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that patrol the area. Finally, one day, Justin says to Christian, “I’m bored and frustrated at being a prawn, I wish I was a shark, then I wouldn’t have to worry about being eaten.” Just as Justin is fantasising about being a big, strong predator, a mysterious cod appears and says, “Your wish is granted”, and lo and behold Justin is transformed into a shark.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur,
