Yes… officially the first thing I have ever won on the web, and what’s more I had fun doing it! I feel kinda guilty for not believing the email that I got, despite the fact that I was mentioned on the front page of their site. I guess I have become very untrusting of any mail from strangers, especially when they are asking you to send your address.

Now I know it might sound funny but I received a non branded email from them, it was just name@stickam.com, which made me very suspicious, especially when I had previously recieved a branded marketing mail previously. Maybe I am being paranoid but I ended up making them mail me back so that I could confirm it was straight up, at the end of the day if they were legit then as far as I see there should be no harm done.

If I was to be honest, I am still a little wary even now but at the end of the day I am going to be moved in a couple of weeks and mr internet person does not have a forwarding address so I guess I will just have to wait and see.

I truely am happy that I have won something and I also really have had a good time using Stickam so far (another post to come) so I just hope it all comes through good. I felt stupid that I wasnt very trusting but at the end of the day, anyone that is sending mail on behalf of a company should represent that company whether it be via a signature or whatever… hell, even the phishers get it 99% right with their ebay / paypal mails. At the end of the day I know I did the right thing… I’ll let you all know how it turns out.

I am curious to hear what other experiences people have had similar to mine and how they dealt with them, I read a really good article the other day but I will have to dig out the link for you all… Please let me know your thoughts…
