My Birthday and the Festives…
December 28th, 2005
Here I am at the end of a rather exciting couple of weeks and just trying to get the hang of my shiny new Saitek Eclipse Keyboard. The new keyboard is pretty sexy but I have only just plugged it in and the keys have a totally different feel to them but it is nice and I wanted to take it for a spin so hence the post.
I kinda skipped the Merry Christmas post because for one I have been away from my keyboard as much as possible but also two, I have been busy chilling out with the family and decided it could wait until things had calmed down.
So where do I start? Well my birthday was kinda chaotic, started on the Friday night when some good friends of mine came down to Edinburgh to go and see New Model Army, I stayed in for the night and watched the kids but when they came back from the gig they insisted that I have a drink with them and who am I to argue with that? The following day was spent chilling out with some good food and then later on my friend was having a belated birthday bash due to a heavy stint of revision and not having a party at the the time of her birthday, so we all went along to have some fun and games… was reall nice, at midnight the lights went down, the music went off and we both got individual renditions of Happy Birthday by the entire contingency of the party and a cute mini cake.
Didn’t have much time to recover from that before it was on the road for me and the family, we went up to Aberdeen to catch up with Carolines family but first it was off to the pub to catch up with the rest of my mates for a jolly good knees up.
As far as Christmas goes, we have had quite a relaxing time with just me, Caroline and the kids. As per usual it was havoc on Christmas Day, Charlotte went ballistic through her presents but this year we had the added amusement of Elsie running about like a headless chicken playing with first her stuff, then anything & everything she could get her hands on.
Toywise, I have done not too badly between my birthday & Christmas… I now have a DAB Radio nicely set up in the kitchen and I got some rather cool glow in the dark juggling balls from my secret santa. To top it all off, I was fortunate enough to get some amazon vouchers from my work collegues so I have invested in the keyboard I am now typing on and a Saitek 1600dpi Gamers Mouse which I am looking forward to recieving.
On Boxing day I went into town and spent the Virgin vouchers I got on a copy of Ultimate Spiderman which I have been giving a good run for it’s money… sooooooo much better than the first spiderman game… and trust me, I am a massive Spiderman fan.
Finally to finish off my little update I was very generously given a Dreamcast with a bundle of games today…. WOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!
I’ll let you know how I get on with the games…
Hope you are all having as much fun as me and I’ll hopefully catch up with everyone in the new year… err… if I can pry myself away from games lol…
