The big modification

Okay, so it is easy to install Wordpress and start blogging but I want a challenge and have decided to completely modify my installation of it and actually try and build a design from scratch.

I have been nosing around some of the entries from the last CSS Reboot and am pretty impressed with some of the entries and their different approaches. I would have to say that there are some blatant rip off’s that although skillful, do not really float my boat. There are however, a few that I really liked and have inspired me to work harder and really use the tools that I have to come up with something not only good but also original.

I have decided to go with a fully liquid layout that is going to contain a rather nifty style control which I am currently working on. This is still early days but once I have figured out the layout I would like to roll with, I will post another entry with a sample page for you to check out and give your opinions.

Since I started this blog I have only lightly tweaked the stylesheets / code base that have been bundled with the install or most recently the K2 Theme. I am really looking forward to developing my ideas and hopefully knocking out a nice site to add to the community and have my own little baby to nurture into something worthwhile…
